Frequently asked questions

We’ve thought through the details, so you don’t have to.

Everything from meals and schedules to what to pack and how the weekend flows has been intentionally considered to help you fully switch off from the moment you arrive. But just in case you’re wondering, here is everything you need to know.

Attending

Suitability, solo guests and companions.

Can I come on my own?

Absolutely. Many of our guests attend solo and often find it to be one of the most rewarding parts of the experience.

Whether you're looking for space to yourself, meaningful connection with others or simply time away from the demands of everyday life, you'll be welcomed exactly as you are. Private occupancy options are available for those who would prefer their own room.

Can I come with a partner or friend?

Of course. Heather & Cove retreats are beautifully suited to partners, close friends and loved ones looking to share the experience together. Shared occupancy pricing is available for guests sharing a room.

Do I need experience with wellness, yoga or meditation?

Not at all.

Everything throughout the retreat is designed to be accessible, welcoming and supportive, whether this is your first retreat experience or a practice you already value deeply.

Do I need to be fit to attend?

No.

All movement, yoga and wellness experiences are intentionally designed to be gentle, accessible and suitable for all fitness and experience levels.

I'm neurodivergent or sensitive to overstimulation. Will the retreat feel suitable for me?

Heather & Cove retreats are intentionally designed around slower rhythms, quieter moments and space to step away whenever needed.

There is never any pressure to socialise constantly, participate perfectly or be "on" throughout the weekend. Many guests find the calm, spacious nature of the retreat deeply supportive and restorative.

If you have any specific requirements or concerns, please let us know before attending and we will always do our best to support you.

The weekend

Food, alcohol and the pace.

What is the food like?

Food is an essential part of the Heather & Cove experience.

Every seasonal menu is thoughtfully curated by MasterChef UK Semi-Finalist and Co-Founder Holly Parnell alongside experienced chefs to support restoration from the inside out.

Using organic ingredients and locally sourced produce wherever possible, our menus focus on gut health, nourishment and overall wellbeing through quality proteins, fibre-rich vegetables, healthy fats and ingredients known for their anti-inflammatory properties.

All meals are naturally gluten free and nut free, carefully designed to support digestion and wellbeing whilst still feeling abundant, comforting and full of flavour.

We believe nourishing food should never feel restrictive.

Is there alcohol?

No.

Heather & Cove retreats are intentionally alcohol and drug free to support deeper rest, clarity and restoration throughout the weekend.

We kindly ask guests not to bring alcohol onto the property and to respect the restorative environment created for everyone attending.

Can I use my phone during the retreat?

We encourage guests to take the opportunity to disconnect from technology and step away from the constant demands of digital life wherever possible.

That said, we understand that completely switching off is not always practical. Guests are welcome to keep their phones with them, however we kindly ask that devices are not used during workshops, wellness experiences or within communal spaces out of respect for those choosing to fully disconnect.

A dedicated contact number will be provided for a chosen family member or loved one should an emergency arise.
