Heather & Cove

Questions, answered

We’ve thought through the details, so you don’t have to.

Everything from meals and schedules to what to pack and how the weekend flows has been intentionally considered to help you fully switch off from the moment you arrive. But just in case you’re wondering, here is everything you need to know.

Attending

Suitability, solo guests and companions.

Can I come on my own?

Yes. Many guests attend Heather & Cove solo and choose private occupancy for their room, creating space to fully rest and unwind throughout the weekend.

Can I come with a partner or friend?

Absolutely. Heather & Cove retreats are beautifully suited to partners, close friends or loved ones looking to slow down and experience the weekend together. Shared occupancy pricing is available for guests sharing a room and bed.

Do I need experience with wellness or meditation?

Not at all. Heather & Cove is designed to feel accessible and supportive whether this is your first retreat or something you already value deeply.

Do I need to be fit or experienced to attend?

No. Everything throughout the weekend is intentionally designed to be gentle, accessible and suitable for all experience and fitness levels.

I'm neurodivergent or sensitive to overstimulation. Will the retreat feel suitable for me?

Heather & Cove is intentionally designed around slower rhythms, quieter moments and space to step away whenever needed. There is never pressure to socialise, participate perfectly or be constantly "on," and many guests find the calm, spacious nature of the retreat deeply supportive and restorative.

If you have any specific requirements or concerns ahead of the retreat, we kindly encourage you to let us know in advance. A member of the Heather & Cove team will always be on site throughout the weekend should you need any support, guidance or space at any point during your stay.

The weekend

Food, alcohol, phones and the pace.

What is the food like?

Food is a huge part of the Heather & Cove experience and has been carefully curated by MasterChef UK Semi-Finalist and Co-Founder Holly Parnell alongside experienced chefs to feel both deeply comforting and genuinely nourishing. Every menu throughout the retreat is designed to support gut health, recovery and wellbeing, using nutrient-rich ingredients naturally high in antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties and quality protein, without ever compromising on flavour.

All food throughout the retreat is 100% gluten free, dairy free and nut free, including both peanuts and tree nuts.

If you have any additional allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements, these must be communicated in advance of attending the retreat. As all menus are thoughtfully curated ahead of time, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate changes on the day — however, when informed in advance, we are always happy to cater carefully and thoughtfully to your needs wherever possible.

Is there alcohol?

No. Heather & Cove retreats are intentionally alcohol and drug-free to support deeper rest, clarity and nervous system restoration throughout the weekend. We kindly ask guests not to bring alcohol onto the property and to respect the restorative environment created for everyone attending the retreat.

Can I use my phone during the retreat?

Heather & Cove offers guests the opportunity to fully disconnect from technology throughout the weekend by switching off devices and stepping away from constant digital stimulation, and we gently encourage this wherever possible to experience the full benefits of the retreat. A dedicated Heather & Cove contact number will be available for a chosen family member, partner or friend to reach you at any time should there be an emergency.

That said, we understand that completely switching off is not always possible. Guests are welcome to keep their phones with them, however we kindly ask that phones are not used within communal spaces out of respect for those choosing to fully detox from technology. Devices are also not permitted during workshops or wellness experiences in order to protect the atmosphere and integrity of the retreat experience for all guests.

A full recommended packing list will be provided ahead of your stay. Most everyday essentials and amenities will already be available on site should you forget anything. Selected wellness pieces, loungewear and Heather & Cove products will also be available to purchase throughout the weekend if desired.

What's the difference between the rooms?

Room options vary slightly depending on the retreat location, with differences typically relating to size, layout, facilities and whether the room includes a private en suite bathroom.

Due to the nature of the estates and retreat setup, rooms are designed around shared occupancy and this is reflected within the pricing structure. Guests attending solo are welcome to privately occupy a room, however pricing will only be reduced slightly to account for the additional meals and refreshments not being consumed, as the majority of the retreat experience is built into the room rate itself.

If you are travelling with a partner, friend or companion and would prefer separate beds within your room, please let us know in advance and we will always do our best to accommodate this where possible.

Practical
